Suggested outline of the ten minutes presentation :
A time slot will be dedicated to present the different posters of the poster session. You must prepare a "flash" presentation to tease the audience about your poster in ~ 2 or 3 min. As you might be tempted to use an old conference poster, this flash presentation gives you the opportunity to put your poster in a more broadly understandable context adapted to the audience.

The main goal of the Doctoral School Day is to enable PhD students to show their work to fellow students from the SIMEM doctoral school. Speakers should bear in mind that the public will be mainly composed of students from other fields of study and therefore adapted their speech to be broadly understandable. You will not address specialists of your specific topic, not even from your specific discipline (even if it is a scientific audience). In addition, while English is not mandatory it is widely recommended as it allows non-French speakers to be fully part of the event. |
